Trace Cody
Principal Mech. Eng., PETrace Cody comes to Re:Build DAPR Engineering Nashua as a professional engineer (PE) with over a decade of experience in process systems for heavy industries. In 2007, Trace joined an industrial combustion company as an applications engineer, designing systems for global oil companies. In 2009, Trace earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2011, he joined Halliburton where he invented, developed, and qualified the world’s cleanest surface well test oil burner. He received his professional engineering license in 2013, and in 2015 was awarded the HART Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation in Health, Safety, and Environment for Halliburton’s Environmentally Distinctive Burner. Later that year, Trace joined a start-up from Draper Labs, where he worked as a Systems Engineer to develop and launch new technology for converting waste heat into electricity. He advanced their lab prototype into a field-ready product and oversaw the launch and operations of pilot systems in the steel, glass, and oil industries. In 2020, Trace came to Re:Build DAPR Engineering Nashua as an Engineering Consultant and transitioned to the role of Technical Project Manager in 2021, followed by Principal Mechanical Engineer in 2023. In his role, Trace provides his skills on projects to design, build, and deploy unique solutions to exceptional automation challenges for clients in the energy, heavy industry, and medical sectors.
In his personal time, Trace is an avid science fiction reader, and enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and daughter, hiking, fishing, cycling, sledding, and swimming.
